STUDENT SUCCESS COACHING
Schools teach kids what to learn. We teach them HOW to learn.
Our proprietary Student Success Coaching program is a 3-module, 3-month course which teaches students foundational learning skills through executive function coaching. This course is ideal for rising freshman as they make the transition from middle school to high school and the increased acadmic responsibilities of a college preparatory curriculum.
A hyphenated refresher course is available for high school juniors and seniors to prepare them for the rigors of college and university level learning.
PARENTAL PEACE COACHING
As our children make the transition from elementary to middle and high school, we as parents must also transition our interactions with our child from a leading model to a coaching model.
The overwhelming fears of their failure and the idea that “they need to get into a good college” pushes us to overreach with some parents gong to the extreme of taking on the responsibility of homework assignments and projects versus setting boundaries and pushing the responsibility back to our children. The result is kids who go off to college unprepared for the expectations that will meet them on the college campus.
Parental Peace Coaching is a series of 90-minute lessons that offer a step by step guide and action plan to gradually and safely decrease our involvement in our child’s academic life. By empowering our students to prioritize and advocate for their individual academic success, we restore the calm and equilibrium in the parent-child relationship.
