Unlike most tutors, I came into this profession from a non-traditional background. I never managed a classroom in the public or private school sectors, I simply knew that I enjoyed math, and had a natural ability to connect with kids in the challenging middle and high school age range.

As a parent of school-aged children, I have been in your shoes. I know firsthand how frustrating and helpless you feel when your child is not performing up to their full potential. Every academic year brings a bit of anxiety: not knowing what to expect from individual teachers, the school social environment and how your child will respond to the various stressors.

I have developed a methods-based approach to helping students, and for students with learning differences, we train students in methods of organization, note taking and block scheduling in addition to mastering the curriculum to help them build their academic confidence and improve their grades.
